Privacy Policy for Steadly

Introduction
Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains how TechBasi LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Steadly mobile application ("the App"). By using Steadly, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address (if you sign up with email or link an account)
- Display name and profile photo (provided by Apple or Google when using social sign-in)
- Firebase user ID (a unique identifier for your account)
You may also use Steadly as a guest without providing any personal information. Guest accounts store data locally on your device and in our cloud service under an anonymous identifier.
Content You Create
When you use the App, we store the content you create, including:
- Journeys (titles, descriptions, motivation, vision, obstacles, progress)
- Tasks (titles, descriptions, status, scheduled and completion dates)
- Reflections and journal entries
- Weekly plans, outcomes, and insights
- Focus session records and notes
Collaboration Data
If you use sharing features, we also store:
- Invite codes and invitation details
- Collaborator relationships and roles
- Comments on shared tasks
- Activity logs within shared journeys (e.g., task completions, member joins)
Purchase Information
If you make an in-app purchase, we store:
- Your pro subscription status
- Purchase timestamp and source (App Store)
Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not collect or store your payment card details.
Device and Crash Data
We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and error logs. This may include:
- Device type and operating system version
- Stack traces and error messages
- App version
This data is used solely to identify and fix bugs.
Notification Preferences
We store your notification settings (e.g., reminder times, enabled/disabled status) to deliver local notifications on your device.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide the service — store and display your goals, tasks, reflections, and progress
- Sync across devices — keep your data consistent between your device and the cloud
- Enable collaboration — allow you to share journeys, assign tasks, and communicate with collaborators
- Process purchases — track your pro status and restore purchases across devices
- Improve stability — analyze crash reports to fix bugs and improve the App
- Send notifications — deliver reminders and updates you have opted into
- Send invitation emails — when you invite someone to a shared journey, we send an email on your behalf
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your information to third parties.

We do not use any analytics, advertising, or behavioral tracking services.
Data Storage and Security
Local Storage
Steadly follows an offline-first architecture. Your data is stored locally on your device using a SQLite database so the App works without an internet connection.
Cloud Storage
Your data is also synced to Google Cloud Firestore so it can be accessed across devices and shared with collaborators. Firestore encrypts data at rest and in transit using industry-standard encryption.
Data in Transit
All communication between the App and our cloud services uses HTTPS encryption.
Sharing and Collaboration
When you share a journey with collaborators:
- Your display name and profile photo are visible to all members of the shared journey
- Tasks, comments, and activity within the shared journey are visible to all members
- You can invite collaborators via an invite code (shared directly or by email)
- Each shared journey supports a maximum of 5 collaborators
- Invite codes expire after 7 days
Only the journey owner can manage membership and sharing settings.
Your Rights and Choices
You have control over your data:
- Export your data — Use the data export feature in Settings to download all your data as a JSON file
- Delete your account — Contact us at info@techbasi.com to request account deletion. We will remove your data from our cloud services
- Use as guest — You can use the App without creating an account. Guest data is stored locally on your device
- Manage notifications — Enable or disable reminders in the App's settings
- Uninstall — Removing the App deletes all locally stored data
Data Retention
- Your data is retained in our cloud services as long as your account exists
- Local data is retained on your device until you uninstall the App or clear its data
- If you request account deletion, we will remove your data from our cloud services within 30 days
- Crash reports are retained by Firebase Crashlytics according to Google's data retention policies
Children's Privacy
Steadly is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@techbasi.com and we will take steps to remove that information.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
