Introduction

TechBasi LLC ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Motivare mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our App. The key point: Motivare is designed with your privacy as a priority. The App operates entirely offline and does not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal data on external servers.

Information We Do NOT Collect

Motivare is built on a privacy-first architecture. We do not collect, store, or transmit:

  • Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
  • Location data
  • Device identifiers or advertising IDs
  • Usage analytics or behavioral data
  • Crash reports or diagnostics to external servers
  • Any data to third-party services or advertisers

Information Stored Locally on Your Device

To provide App functionality, Motivare stores the following data locally on your device only:

  • Favorite Quotes: Quotes you mark as favorites
  • Theme Preferences: Your selected visual theme
  • Notification Settings: Whether notifications are enabled and your preferred reminder time
  • Background Preferences: Your selected background color settings

This data:

  • Never leaves your device
  • Is not accessible to us or any third party
  • Is stored using your device's standard local storage mechanisms
  • Can be deleted by uninstalling the App or clearing App data

Wearable Device Sync

If you use Motivare with an Apple Watch or Wear OS device, quote data is synced between your phone and wearable using:

  • Apple Watch: Apple's WatchConnectivity framework
  • Wear OS: Google's Wearable Data Layer API

This synchronization:

  • Occurs directly between your paired devices
  • Uses secure, local communication protocols provided by Apple and Google
  • Does not route through any external servers
  • Does not transmit data to us or any third party

Home Screen Widgets

Motivare offers home screen widgets for iOS and Android. Widget data (current quotes) is stored in shared local storage on your device to enable widget functionality. This data remains entirely on your device.

Local Notifications

If you enable daily reminders, Motivare uses your device's local notification system. Notification scheduling occurs entirely on your device—no data is sent to external push notification services.

Third-Party Services

Motivare does not integrate with or use any third-party services, including:

  • Analytics platforms
  • Advertising networks
  • Cloud storage providers
  • Social media platforms
  • Crash reporting services

Children's Privacy

Motivare is suitable for users of all ages. Because we do not collect any personal information from any user, the App complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations worldwide. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction) because we do not collect personal information from anyone.

Data Security

Since all data remains on your device and is never transmitted externally, your information is protected by your device's built-in security features, including:

  • Device encryption
  • Biometric locks (Face ID, Touch ID, fingerprint)
  • Passcode protection

We recommend keeping your device's operating system updated to benefit from the latest security patches.

Data Retention and Deletion

All App data is stored locally on your device. You have complete control over this data:

  • To delete all data: Uninstall the App from your device
  • To delete specific data: Use the App's settings to clear favorites or reset preferences
  • Wearable data: Uninstall the App from your wearable device to remove synced data

We retain no data on any servers because we do not operate any servers for this App.

Your Rights

Because Motivare does not collect or process personal data, traditional data subject rights (access, correction, deletion, portability) are automatically satisfied—you already have complete control over all your data on your device.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. If we make material changes that affect how we handle data (such as introducing data collection), we will notify you through the App or other appropriate means before the changes take effect.
