Privacy Policy for LockStepper

LockStepper collects no personal data. Everything stays on your device and your private iCloud. No account. No tracking. No ads.
1. Overview
LockStepper ("the App") is an iOS application developed by TechBasi ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information. By using LockStepper, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
The short version: all data processed by LockStepper stays on your device or in your own private iCloud storage. We never see it, collect it, or transmit it to any server we operate.
2. Information the App Accesses
LockStepper requests access to the following Apple system frameworks. All processing happens on-device.

LockStepper does not access your contacts, camera, microphone, location, photos, or any other system resource not listed above.
3. Data We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit:
- Your name, email address, or any personal identifier
- Your health or fitness data — step counts are read on-device and never leave your phone
- The specific apps you choose to lock
- Your location
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Usage analytics or behavioral data
There is no TechBasi server that receives any data from the App.
4. Local Storage
Your app profile, step milestones, streak history, and notification preferences are stored locally on your device using SwiftData. This data is only accessible to the App and to you.
5. iCloud Sync
If iCloud is enabled on your device, the App syncs your profile and progress data to your private CloudKit database — a part of iCloud that only you can access. Apple's iCloud infrastructure encrypts this data in transit and at rest. TechBasi has no access to your iCloud data. For more information, see Apple's Privacy Policy.
You can disable iCloud sync for LockStepper at any time in Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Apps Using iCloud.
6. Third-Party Services
LockStepper uses one third-party service:

All in-app purchases are processed by Apple. TechBasi does not receive, store, or have access to your payment card details. See Apple's Privacy Policy for how the App Store handles purchase information.
We do not use any analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, crash reporting services, or behavioral tracking tools.
7. Notifications
All notifications sent by LockStepper are local notifications — they are scheduled on your device and never routed through an external server. We do not use push notification services.
You can manage or disable notifications at any time in Settings → Notifications → LockStepper.
8. Children's Privacy
LockStepper is rated 4+ on the App Store and is appropriate for all ages. Because the App does not collect any personal information from any user, it does not collect personal information from children. If you have questions, contact us at info@techbasi.com.
9. Your Choices
- Revoke HealthKit access — Go to Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → LockStepper. The App will not be able to detect step milestones without this permission.
- Revoke Screen Time / Family Controls access — Removing this permission disables the app-locking feature.
- Disable notifications — Settings → Notifications → LockStepper.
- Disable iCloud sync — Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Apps Using iCloud → LockStepper.
- Delete all local data — Uninstall the App. All SwiftData stored locally is removed with the App.
10. Data Security
Because LockStepper does not transmit your data to any TechBasi server, the primary security protections come from Apple's own platform: device encryption, Face ID / Touch ID, and iCloud end-to-end encryption. We encourage you to keep your device and iOS up to date.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
